EMMET COUNTY MAN TASERED AFTER REFUSING TO COOPERATE WITH POLICE
State police say they were forced to pull out their taser when an Emmet
County man refused to cooperate. It happened at the man's house in
McKinley Township. Police went there after reports of gunfire and
arguing. The man told police he shot the gun to call his dogs inside. At
one point police believed he was grabbing for a gun. They pulled him
outside and when he still wouldn't follow orders, they tasered him.
Police took him to the hospital to be checked out, then to jail. They say
the man had been drinking.
